CBI passport upgrade calculator
See how a citizenship by investment passport upgrade could change the number of visa-free destinations you can reach.
See the full cost breakdown → Citizenship by Investment Calculator
This is a simplified comparison of visa-free destination counts and does not account for individual circumstances, dual citizenship rules in your home country, or changes to visa policy. Always consult a licensed immigration advisor before pursuing citizenship by investment.
How Caribbean passport power is ranked and checked
Visa-free counts, entry rules and what a second passport can actually change.
How the visa checker works
Choose your passport and a destination, and the checker returns the entry status, the typical allowed stay and a one-line action note, along with the official source to confirm it with. Visa rules vary by passport and destination and change over time, so the checker always points you back to the official immigration authority for the final answer.
How the Caribbean passport ranking works
The ranking uses the number of visa-free destinations reported for each Caribbean passport in the Henley Passport Index 2026 release. It is a snapshot: rankings update quarterly, and a passport's position moves as visa policies change. Where a 2026 figure is not yet confirmed, the table shows VERIFY rather than an estimate.
How the CBI upgrade estimate works
The upgrade calculator compares the visa-free destination count of your current passport with that of a citizenship by investment passport. It simply subtracts one from the other to show the potential additional visa-free destinations, so it does not account for dual citizenship rules, application costs or policy changes — see the Citizenship by Investment Calculator for the cost side.
Which Caribbean passport has the most visa-free countries?
Barbados ranks highest in this table, with 163 visa-free destinations in the Henley Passport Index 2026. The Bahamas follows with 158, then St Kitts and Nevis and St Vincent and the Grenadines with 157 each.
Do I need a visa to travel from the Caribbean to the UK, US, Canada or Europe?
It depends on both your passport and your destination — rules differ for every Caribbean passport and change over time. Use the visa checker at the top of this page, then confirm with the destination's official immigration authority before booking.
How does a Citizenship by Investment passport affect visa-free travel?
A citizenship by investment passport gives you a new nationality, and with it the visa-free access of that country's passport. Because the Eastern Caribbean CBI countries generally rank highly, a second passport can add visa-free destinations for some travellers — but the exact gain depends on your current passport and the programme you choose. Use the upgrade calculator above to compare the counts.
Are the visa requirements on this page verified?
Yes. The visa-requirement entries were checked against the official sources linked in each result and are current as of 13 September 2026. Passport-power figures come from the Henley Passport Index 2026; where a 2026 figure is not yet confirmed, the ranking table shows VERIFY rather than an estimate.
